Description
Footrest. The invention relates to a footrest that is subsequently inserted or respectively in the commercially available shoes. can be incorporated into it in order to bring about a correction of the tread surface, which corresponds to today's knowledge about the foot support in the shoe. This is intended to give the foot the opportunity to perform normal handling in the shoe while walking. According to the invention, this is achieved by a footrest, the heel part of which rises in a wedge shape on both sides from inside to outside.
The part of the footrest located on the inside of the foot extends approximately to the beginning of the inner arch of the foot and the outer part of the footrest extends approximately to the ball of the little toe.
The end of the outer part of the footrest is expediently provided with an enlargement which extends inwards, that is to say laterally to the inside of the foot and supports the metatarsal arching of the foot. The footrest according to the invention be available for example from a cork shot mass, which is provided on its top with a cover layer of leather, synthetic leather or the like and on its underside with an adhesive application. However, it can of course also be used any other flexible material for producing this footrest.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the footrest according to the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows the footrest for a right shoe in plan, FIG. 2 shows a section on the line from FIG. 1 and FIG the line cd of FIG. 1.
The footrest according to the invention be seated for a right shoe about the shape shown in the drawing. Here, the footrest in the middle part has a cutout which tapers towards the inside of the shoe so that the footrest as such has an approximately hook-shaped shape.
In its heel part, the footrest has a cross-section as shown for example in FIG. 2 of the drawing, which shows a section on the line r.-b in FIG. This means that the footrest on both sides rises to the outside in a wedge shape. The wedge-shaped elevation on the outer edge is usually slightly higher than on the inner part.
An extension is expediently attached to the anterior outer thigh of the foot support, which serves to raise the metatarsal arch of the foot. This part has approximately the cross-section shown in FIG. 3 on the line c-d of FIG. 1.
The footrest can of course also be incorporated directly into the shoe during its manufacture if a corresponding last is used.
