Regelung für ein-oder mehrstufige Dampfmaschinen.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Regulation for single or multi-stage steam engines.
EMI1.1
The invention relates to steam engines of any type, single or multi-stage condensation. Tapping or counter-pressure machines, in which the passage of steam through the machine or part of it is regulated by the pressure in front of or behind the machine or by the tapping pressure in such a way that the pressure gradient between a high and a low pressure network for power generation is regulated in the boiler excess generated steam or de? steam demand occurring in the low pressure network is exploited.
The former control is usually done by means of an overflow valve that keeps the pressure in the feed line or the boiler of the system constant and the excess steam through the machine. In the second case, a regulating element controlled by the tapping or counter pressure of the machine is used, which in each case allows as much steam to pass through the machine as the consumers connected to the counter pressure or tapping kits of the machine require.
If in the first R? In the event that the amount of steam passing through the machine cannot be completely absorbed by the low-pressure consumers, the excess amounts of steam are stored in a known manner in a memory (gradient or constant pressure memory) in order to be used in the form of steam or hot water for any purpose, in particular boiler feed purposes to be delivered. It is irrelevant whether the element regulating the amount of steam passing through the machine is arranged in front of or behind the machine.
Both arrangements are known. It is also known to assign these regulating members a second regulating member controlled as a function of the load on the machine, for example by a speed regulator, which limits the amount of steam passing through the machine when the number of revolutions of the machine exceeds a permissible limit. This second, the so-called
EMI1.2
to be able to meet.
However, these known devices are not able to meet all the load requirements that can be placed on the machine. For example, if the steam pressure in front of the turbine falls as a result of the lower steam output of the boiler or as a result of increasing steam consumption in the boiler network, the overflow valve closes more and more. The same applies to the steam supply element, which is regulated by the counterpressure of the machine and which, with decreasing steam consumption in the low-pressure network, also lets less and less steam through the machine. If, however, the machine happens to have to cover an increased load in such a case, it can happen that the steam quantities required to cover this load are not supplied to the machine, which is completely inadmissible in many cases.
It is the purpose of the invention to remedy these disadvantages and to show a scheme which
EMI1.3
is essentially achieved according to the invention in that the known pressure-regulated organs are connected in parallel with an organ controlled by the load on the machine, which ensures the steam supply to the turbine even when the pressure-regulated organs cut off the supply. This additional regulating element, which can naturally be combined structurally with one of the pressure regulators, is expediently actuated directly or indirectly by the speed of the machine. It can be
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Connection with one or both pressure-regulated organs and with or without safety regulators can be provided.
If a safety regulator is present, the speed regulator which actuates the additional regulating element provided according to the invention can also act simultaneously on the valve of the safety regulator, which in a known manner limits the speed of the machine upwards.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated using a few exemplary embodiments.
In Fig. 1, A denotes a back pressure turbine, which is fed from line B by means of the overflow valve UV, through which valve the pressure in line B, which is directly applied to the
Boiler can be connected, is kept constant. C is the counterpressure network to which a memory can be conveniently connected.
In the event that the steam quantities passing through the overflow valve are sufficient to cover an increased load on the turbine, a second valve D is connected in parallel to the valve ÜV according to the invention, which ensures the steam supply to the turbine regardless of the pressure in the line B.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the steam supply to the turbine is regulated in a known manner as a function of the counter pitch by the valve RV, as indicated by the dashed pulse line. The arrangement of the valve D and its operation is the same as in Fig.].
The embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3 differs from that according to FIG. 1 only in that a safety regulator E is arranged in series with the overflow valve, which in a known manner prevents a permissible speed limit from being exceeded. The supply of steam to the turbine is ensured in exactly the same way as in the previously described exemplary embodiments.
In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the cruise control operating valve D of the invention also controls valve E.
The embodiment according to FIG. 5 differs from that according to FIG. 4 only in that, in addition to the valves present there, the valve RV of FIG. 2 is also provided at the same time.
While the overflow valve and the reducing valve are connected in series in FIG. 5, FIG. 6 shows an embodiment in which the two valves ÜV and RV are parallel to one another.
The differences in the mode of operation of the valves ÜV and RV caused by the various circuits are known, so that this does not need to be discussed in particular. In both cases (FIGS. 5 and 6) the valves are bridged by a parallel line which contains the additional control element D provided according to the invention, the speed controller of which actuates the safety valve E at the same time.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 6 also differs from the previous ones in that the pressure pulse for actuating the overflow valve is taken directly from the boiler K.
Of course, in all cases the overflow valve can also be controlled by the steam temperature or steam speed instead of the steam pressure, which also applies to the valve controlled by the back pressure.
In the exemplary embodiments, the concept of the invention is only explained using single-stage counter-pressure machines. It goes without saying that it also applies to multi-stage machines and to condensation machines, and it is by no means necessary for the overflow valve and the additional valve to be arranged upstream of the first stage of a multi-stage system, but it can of course also be used in a steam transfer line from a higher pressure stage to a sit low pressure level. In most cases, the simultaneous arrangement of a heat accumulator is particularly advantageous, if not an immediate condition, as is particularly pointed out.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Regulation for single or multi-stage steam engines (piston engines or turbines), in which the pressure gradient between a high-pressure and a low-pressure network is used to generate power in one or more stages, depending on the excess steam generated in the boiler or the steam demand occurring in the low-pressure network, characterized in that if there is insufficient power generation, a controller (D) actuated depending on the load on the machine cancels the normal control and influences the steam supply to the machine in such a way that the required power is generated independently of the steam conditions in the high-pressure or low-pressure network by the regulator allows steam to flow to the machine by bridging the pressure-controlled valves.
