Arrangement for starting up a direct current network that is fed by a plurality of converters during operation.
Starting up a direct current network that z. B. has become dead due to failure of a battery, causes considerable difficulties because of the cold lamp resistance, which represents an almost complete short circuit, especially when the network is controlled by a converter that is difficult to control, e.g. B. a single armature converter is fed. To overcome these difficulties, it was proposed to subdivide the network into individual sections, to commission them individually (electrically separated) and to couple them to one another after commissioning.
Another suggestion is to enable switching on via a starting resistor,

because the network resistance changes with the load. It is almost impossible to produce a suitable substitute resistance for larger networks and it is difficult to regulate this automatically according to the respective existing load and the number of converters currently rotating.
According to the invention, these difficulties, in the event that the DC power supply is fed by a plurality of converters, are eliminated by the fact that each individual machine receives its special backup resistor to limit the starting current and that all of these resistances after the starting current has dropped to a permissible value, can be bridged at the same time.
The figure shows an embodiment of the inventive concept. 1 here mean busbars from which the loads 2 are fed. The converters 3, 4 and 5 are connected to the busbars via resistors 6, 7 and 8. Each resistor is dimensioned in such a way that the normal current of the converter is not exceeded with full machine voltage and a complete mains short circuit. The switches 9, 10 and 11 are bypass switches that are switched on simultaneously and automatically as soon as the current in the resistor has dropped to a certain value. For the purpose of automatic switch-on, the current relays 12, 13 and 14 are provided, which auxiliary holders 15, 16 and 17 close as soon as the current has reached the minimum value.
If only one of these relays closes one of the switches 15 to 17, the rail 18 is thereby connected to the positive pole of a voltage source, the negative pole of which is constantly connected to the relays 19, 20 and 21. In this way, the relays 19 to 21 respond at the same time and switch the switches 9 to 11 on at the same time.
With the aid of the device according to the invention, the entire network resistance is automatically adjusted to the network load, since the number of individual resistances corresponds to the number of converters put into operation and thus to the network load.
A possibly already existing safety resistor, which every converter receives to protect against reverse current, can also be used as a mains starting resistor.
