Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    In diesem Sinne wirkt die obenerwähnte Beimischung von Natriumbikarbonat, das mit dem vorhandenen Kalziumhydroxyd zu einem schwerlöslichen Salz zusammentritt, so dass der Erhärtungsvorgang entsprechend der allmählichen Lösung stattfindet und dadurch Risse vermieden werden.

    The above-mentioned admixture of sodium bicarbonate, which combines with the calcium hydroxide present to form a sparingly soluble salt, works in this sense, so that the hardening process takes place in accordance with the gradual dissolution and thus cracks are avoided.

  The fact that the addition of starchy substances such as rye, wheat or potato flour, in particular dark rye flour, is advantageous can easily be explained since the swelling processes that take place in these substances act in the above-mentioned sense. In addition, there is the adhesive effect of these substances and the fact that, when dry, they further promote the ability of the whole mixture to be atomized.

  Exemplary embodiment: 40 parts of copper sulfate are ground with 20 parts of kieselguhr, slurried with water and then treated with milk of lime (20 parts of quick lime in 40 parts of water) in a kneading machine. The product is then dried, ground and passed through the finest sieves.

  3 parts of casein, finely powdered and 1 part of sodium sulfite are added to the product, 5 parts of NaHCOg and 10 parts of rye flour are also added and the whole thing is ground again.

  The agent shows such excellent adhesion to the leaves that rain no longer washes it off within 3 to 4 weeks after it has dried in dew.

  It has also been shown that this new mixture prevents the hayworm and sour worm from eating the grapes powdered with it and already causes the moth not to lay its eggs on the grapes, since the young caterpillars die immediately in the powder mixture. The grapes show a healthy appearance and remain free of worms and oidium.

  PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Spreadable agent for dry control of plant pests, characterized by a mixture of copper lime powder, kieselguhr, casein salts, e.g. B. casein sodium sulfite, in powder form with starchy substances such as rye, wheat or potato flour.
