Capacitor case.
As is known, the capacitor cans are provided with fastening eyes to enable convenient assembly. The eyelets are punched when the cup is manufactured or are firmly connected to the cup by welding. Such cups are mainly used in telephone technology. Since the capacitors in telephone systems are usually required in large numbers, the individual capacitors are often assembled in groups and fastened together. The eyelets provided for individual fastening are not required and are usually a hindrance for joint fastening. For the group-wise assembly, the fastening eyes must therefore be bent over or removed.
The present invention now avoids this disadvantage, since the fastening eyes are not permanently connected to the capacitor, but can be removed or reinserted at any time. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the cup has a bead-like edge which is designed in such a way that a wire bracket shaped into fastening eyes can be inserted therein. This achieves both a completely moisture-proof termination of the capacitor and, furthermore, great simplicity in manufacture. The bead-like edge is created in a particularly simple manner by the seaming of the lid on the installation side of the cup.
It is advantageous not to use the narrow side of the cup as the installation side for the winding, as was previously the case with telephony capacitors, but the broad side of the cup. The cup can therefore be pressed out of one piece and does not need to be assembled from several individual parts, which are known to be usually connected to one another by soldering or welding.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the figures.
Fig. 1 shows the wire hanger formed into fastening eyes, Fig. 2 shows the wire hanger in side view, Fig. 3 shows the cup, Fig. 4 shows a section through the cup.
In Fig. 1 and 2, the wire bracket 1 shaped to form fastening eyes 4 is shown. The wire bracket is made of one piece and the wire ends 2 and J are not connected to one another so that a resilient effect is achieved when the bracket is inserted into the bead-like edge. Irregularities in the manufacture of the cup and the bracket can therefore be easily compensated for when the wire bracket is inserted. The shape of the capacitor housing can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4. With 6 the drawn from one piece cup is referred to, in which the capacitor is used. The lid 5, which is firmly connected to the cup 6 by seaming, serves as a closure for the cup.
The fold point and the wire bracket are designed in such a way that the wire bracket 1, which is cranked, as FIG. 2 shows, can be pushed under the bead-like edge 9 formed during the folding. In the cup 6, the soldering lugs 7 are inserted in a manner known per se by means of a pressed insulating material 8.
