Device for the production of cutting tools such as milling cutters, reamers and the like. Like. With cutting edges running alternately on the left and right.
There are already rotating cutting tools, such as milling cutters, reamers and the like. Like. With alternately left and right cutting edges, as well as devices are known by means of which the cutting edges are produced by milling on the workpieces which can be moved in the axial direction with the table of the milling machine and set in rotation during the advance. The subject of the invention is a special embodiment of a device of this type.

rotatably mounted in such a way that the axis of rotation of the spindle Z is perpendicular to the movement path of the table T. A housing 1, in which a hollow shaft 2 is mounted, is firmly screwed to this. A toothed arch 3 is attached to this, with which a toothed rack 4 engages, which is vertically arranged in the housing 1.
EMI1.2
which is mounted at 12 on the slide S.
The shaft 14 is driven by the drive of the milling spindle Z by means not shown. In the hollow shaft 2, a spindle 32 fixedly connected to a graduated disk 16 is rotatably mounted. A bracket 15 attached to the end of 2 carries a bolt 17 cooperating with the holes 33 of the indexing disk 16. With the aid of the latter, the shaft 32 can be adjusted in relation to the hollow shaft 2 and the number of teeth of the workpiece A to be machined can be determined. This is attached to a mandrel 20 by means of the nut 21. The mandrel is held by the spindle 32 and a grater tip 23. It is also connected to the spindle 32 by means of a coupling sleeve 19 in such a way that the mandrel 20 cannot rotate relative to 32.
After the value piece is clamped between the tips, the table T is moved back until the end face b of the workpiece comes to rest behind the milling cutter H. The table T is then adjusted according to the penetration depth to be achieved by the milling cutter. The machining that ends at the end face a begins at the end face b of the workpiece. In this position, the slider 5 is located furthest away from the pivot point of the pin 7 in the groove 8 of the rocker 28, corresponding to the length of the workpiece to be machined. If the drive is now switched on, the shaft 14 driving the crank pin 30 also rotates, whereby the rocker 28 swings out.
The rack 4 slides up and down and oscillates the hollow shaft 2 and with it the workpiece A back and forth by means of the toothed arc 3. At the same time, the table T is guided against the milling cutter H and since the workpiece rotates in the two directions d, d in accordance with the oscillation of the rocker 28, a section of the oscillations d arises at the end face b of the workpiece A at the beginning of the table advance , d 'corresponding width.
Since, in accordance with the advancing providence of table T, that in the

Groove 8 located slider Jdem pivot points of the Schwinger sien approaches, the swinging movement of the workpiece becomes smaller and smaller, and when the pivot pin 6 of the slider 5 is exactly opposite the bearing pin 7 of the rocker 28 (Fig. 1 and 2), the movement of the Toothed rack 4 and therefore also the rotation of the workpiece is zero. Because the slider 5 in the groove 8 of the rocker 28, which is fixedly mounted during the operation, increasingly approaches the axis of the latter, a section of decreasing width f is created in the workpiece, the edges c and c 'of which correspond to the set deflection angle the rocker 28 extend along helical lines.
The edge c here forms the cutting edge.
