Description

Method and device for coupling a telephone with a speaking machine for the purpose of reproducing telephone calls or the like.

The invention relates to a method and a device for coupling a telephone of conventional design with a normal speaking machine for the purpose of reproducing telephone calls or the like.

It is already known to connect special devices to telephone or radio receiving stations; which take care of the recording and amplification of electrical vibrations and their mechanical recording on a plate or roller and the reproduction of these recorded recordings in the form of visual vibrations with or without electrical amplification. Such special devices are complicated and expensive as well as being limited to their special purpose.

In contrast, the invention makes it possible to couple existing normal telephone receivers and speaking machines (e.g. dictaphones or gramophones) with one another in a simple manner, without these known apparatuses that are often present next to one another in the company being permanently deprived of their other uses or changed in any way by this coupling option .

In addition, by coupling the device according to the invention with the speaking machine alone, calls can also be recorded that are not received by telephone or radiophonically, but are conducted on the spot, but not into the mouthpiece of the speaking machine.

This is achieved according to the invention in that the telephone speech streams are fed via an amplifier (e.g. tube amplifier) to an acoustic playback device (loudspeaker), by means of which the speaking drum or plate of a recording device (e.g. dictaphones or gramophones) without special Aids is discussed. A microphone arranged in the recording room can be used instead of the telephone for the second-mentioned purpose.

In order to avoid acoustic feedback, it has proven to be useful to isolate the acoustic reproduction apparatus (loudspeaker) in a soundproof manner and to allow it to speak directly into the speaking machine.

The drawing shows a schematic representation 1 of the normal telephone to which an amplifier (here a tube amplifier) 2 is connected (for example when connecting the second receiver).

An encapsulated acoustic playback apparatus 3 is electrically connected to this, to which the receiving funnel of a normal speaking machine (dictaphone, gramophone, etc.) is connected in a soundproof manner. By connecting the amplifier 2 to a microphone instead of the telephone 1, calls made in the vicinity of the microphone can be recorded. By simple mechanical detachment of the speaking horn of the speaking machine from the acoustic reproduction apparatus 3, the speaking machine can be used on its own in the usual way.
