the dissipation of the current heat receives the contact track, depending on requirements, axially or radially lengthened flanges, which are made ineffective for the current line by multiple slots. Graphite, retort carbon or. any material with a correspondingly high resistance can be used.
In Fig. 3, such a contact track is sketched as a regulating resistor in an exemplary embodiment. Q is a ring made of resistance material, on whose outer surface 0 the brushes slide. The inner flange s is used for fastening on a hub of the drive shaft. V are the slotted protrusions provided for cooling.
For effective cooling, the contact track according to FIG. 4 can have strips of good heat-conducting material inserted, which also serve to reduce the contact resistance to the brushes sliding on the surface. For cases; where the required resistance is difficult to achieve due to the large contact ring cross-section, the contact path according to FIG. 5 can be implemented. There are in this arrangement the contact segments g made of resistance material which, with an insulating layer n, z. B. mica, separated from each other, but are alternately conductively connected at the end faces. For effective cooling, the intermediate insulation can be divided and each have a metal strip k inserted, which protrudes on one or both sides for heat dissipation.
As a result of the alternating connection at the end faces, the contact track segments g are connected in series in their longitudinal direction, the current course is meandering and the required resistance can easily be achieved in this way.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Automatic electrical controller, the regulating resistance of which is adjusted by the moment of an eddy current brake, characterized in that the magnetic field of the eddy current brake is fixed and the drive of the eddy current armature (Z) takes place via a differential gear in such a way that the excitation of the brake and the rotational speed of the Armature resulting torque is absorbed by a housing (D) carrying the planetary gear against a spring (FJ), with the housing and regulating brush positions resulting from the different moments giving the change in regulating resistances (0) (FIG. 1).
