Hand-guided masonry drill.
The subject of the invention is a hand-guided masonry drill with at least three spiral grooves, the cutting edges of which can be renewed from the shank shape by regrinding, the essential characteristic of which is that the roof-shaped bevels of the ribs that taper to a point are stepped off.
There are numerous embodiments. known from drills that have more than three flutes and are designed with a chisel-like point. However, all these known drills have the disadvantage of poorly supported cutting edges which shift when working with the drills, so that the drill hole is inaccurate and its edges are exposed to the risk of breaking out.
EMI1.1
the drill according to the invention always remains centered in the working position and the spreading of relatively large rock debris at individual sites is reliably prevented. The new drill bit can be used for drilling rock-like material (e.g.
B. brick, clinker, reinforced concrete, tile and marble walls) are used in particular when laying high-power and visual power cables.
It can also be used with advantage in irrigation and drainage systems, when laying gas pipes, and when making drill holes for blasting work.
The invention is shown in the drawing in elevation and in plan view.
The new drill consists of a steel cylinder a, the side surfaces of which have at least three spiral grooves b. These grooves are continued into the area of the tip cutting edge by filing or, more appropriately, by a correspondingly tapered fillet shape. In order to achieve an easy and even working of the drill, the cutting edges e, e ', e "etc. are designed in such a way that they run symmetrically step-like up to the stepped core. The purpose of stepping the core is to create a small pilot drill as Guiding of the drill in the production of the actual large borehole The shank provided with the three grooves ends in three cutting edges d which end in a point o.
Each cutting edge at the end of the drill is ground in such a way that
