Anordnung an Stromwandlern für verschiedene Messbereiche.
EMI1.1

Arrangement on current transformers for different measuring ranges.
EMI1.1
It is disadvantageous to use a normal current transformer with an ammeter to measure these currents, since this measuring arrangement is only for one working or. can give accurate measurements over a range of currents. In order to be able to measure the various tasks of the system with the same exactness, either several current transformers and ammeters or switchovers of ammeters and current transformers could be used. However, this complicates and increases the cost of the system, especially since it is known that secondary windings of current transformers have to be short-circuited if a load, in this case measuring instruments, is not connected.
According to the invention, an arrangement is now specified which allows currents of different magnitudes to be measured precisely on the primary side in different circuits, but suffice with one current transformer and one or more series-connected ammeters permanently connected to the secondary winding. The essence of the invention is that the primary winding of the current transformer consists of several (at least two) parts that are not directly connected to one another and which are inserted into the lines of the AC system in such a way that, depending on the switching to be carried out for the individual work of the system, only one Part or all of the turns of the primary winding are traversed by the current.
As a result, different numbers of turns are primarily effective in the various jobs and the connected current pointer, which can have multiple scales, measures with the corresponding accuracy for all jobs.
The parts of the primary winding of the current transformer can be arranged in such a way that, on a case-by-case basis, a part, the sum of the individual parts of the windings or their difference is effective.
As an example of the application of the invention, the measurement of the motor current in a single-phase alternating current locomotive that is equipped for electrical resistance braking in this way is cited. that the electric brake is only dimensioned for the weight of the locomotive and therefore much lower currents than when driving are permissible. According to the scheme contained in the figure, the power transformer 4 of the locomotive is fed in the usual way from a contact line 1 via a pantograph 2 and the switch 3. The motors 6 are connected to the secondary side of the transformer J, which is assumed to be in economy circuit, via switching devices 5 and the reversing switch 7, which are not specified.
The reversing switch 7 is used to switch the forward and backward driving directions and to switch the electric brake. The current transformer 8 is used to measure the motor current, and an ammeter 9 is connected to its secondary winding 8c. The primary winding of the current transformer consists of two parts 8 a and 8 b.
In the forward or reverse position of the reversing switch, the current flows from the secondary side of the transformer 4 via the switching device 5, the reversing switch 7, which is a primary winding of the current transformer 8 a to the drive motor 6: in the drive motor, the current flows through the compensation winding 6 b, the armature winding 6 a, the reversing pole winding 6 c and the shunt 6 cl as well as the excitation winding 6 e and from this to earth 11.
In the "brake" position, only the excitation winding 6 e of the motor 6 is fed from the transformer 4 via the switching device 5 and the reversing switch 7, while the armature winding 6 a of the motor generates an alternating current voltage that causes the following current flow: From earth 11 via the a part of the primary winding of the current transformer 8 for Kompensationswieklung 6b, armature winding 6a for reversing pole winding sscbzw. Shunt 6 a of the motor, then to the reversing holder 7 and from

converter 8 is flowed through and therefore measures equally accurately for both operating cases.
