Description

Method for the production of paper templates or the like by means of a mother template.

The invention relates to a method which has the purpose of using a mother template and suitable tools to produce not, as previously known, only one, but many daughter templates in one operation. As a result, a 100-fold or more increased performance is achieved in almost the same time.

The essence of the new method consists in the fact that a nut template with numerous narrow holes corresponding to the pattern of the template serves as a guide for thin drills so that matching holes can be drilled simultaneously through many layers of paper or other suitable material lying on top of one another.

The known punching processes using punches and dies are not suitable for the mass production of stencils, since the costs for the tools and the countless punches (up to 10,000 for large samples) would be much too high. Such punches are also forbidden for the reason that it would be technically almost impracticable to arrange the thin stamps with about 0.5 mm as close together as the hole pattern of the template requires.

In addition to the advantage of the method according to the invention for mass production in one operation, it is also important that the costs for the tools and master templates are very low.
