Alle diese Mängel werden gemäss dieser Erfindung dadurch vermieden, dass durch eine relativ grosse Verdunstungsfläche der Einlage und vermöge deren eigenartiger Anordnung an der Innenwand des Gerätes das Heilmittel ausgiebig ausgenützt und das Durchatmen nicht erschwert wird ; dabei ist die Konstruktion des Gerätes ausserordentlich einfach, was eine sehr billige Herstellung ermöglicht.
Der in der Zeichnung in beispielsweiser Ausführung dargestellte Inhalator besteht aus einem wagrechten, beiderseits offenen Behälter A aus Glas oder einem ändern Material, der mit zwei Nasenansätzen oder mit einem Ausschnitt für die Nase versehen ist und dessen beide Enden bis auf eine kleine Öffnung C eingezogen sind, so dass ein Rand gebildet wird, welcher, die Einlage vor Verschiebung sichert. Die Einlage E besteht aus einem aufsaugenden Stoff von einer'Länge und Breite, dass sie die Innenwand des Behälters bis auf die Einmündungsstelle der Nasenansätze auskleidet. Diese Einlage wird durch Einträufeln des Heilmittels durch eine der beiden Öffnungen getränkt. Eine um den Inhalator geschlungene elastische Schnur hält das Gerät mittels regelbarer Ohrenschlingen fest.
Die leicht auswechselbare Einalge hat eine Verdunstungsoberfläehe. von zirka 12 cm2 und saugt eine Flüssigkeitsmenge vdn-fast einem Kaffeelöffel auf, so dass das Heilmittel in der Einlage für viele Inhalationen ausreicht und infolge ihrer ausgiebigen Oberfläche gut verdunstet.
