  Electric glow pot.

The subject of the present invention is an annealing pot, as it has already been used for annealing metals, in particular wire, and which differs from the previous embodiments in that the heating of the object to be annealed is achieved by switching it into an electrical circuit.

For this purpose, very fine bores are provided in the wall of the pot, which are glued with clay after the lead wires have been introduced to ensure a completely airtight seal.

In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown in section.

For the purpose of introducing the power supply wires 2, the glow pot 1 is provided with fine bores 3 which are glued with clay before the metal or wire 4 in question is annealed in order to achieve an airtight seal. In the lid 5 of the pot 1 a bore 6 is provided, to which a suction line 7 connects in a known manner in order to achieve a significant reduction in the oxidation of the object 4 to be glowed in addition to the usual reducing agents by suction.

The object to be annealed can consist of any material whose conductivity allows the required annealing temperature to be achieved.
