for the key for screw bolt locks, which are used instead of the padlocks to lock the doors, especially of mail and freight cars.
With the previously known screw bolts, even an unauthorized person could open the lock noiselessly with the appropriate tool. In order to counteract this, a small plate is now attached over the insertion opening for the key, which covers the connecting or locking screw and is provided with a pop capsule on the inside. Before the closure is opened, the cover plate must be deformed, causing a detonation, which alerts the staff. This closure can be sealed in such a way that opening it without damaging the seal appears to be impossible.
Fig. 1 shows the door eyes T with the inserted bolt B. From Fig. 2, the head K with the bore for the coupling screw and the recess e can be seen. Fig. 3 shows the bolt and head pushed into one another and firmly connected to the coupling screw Sch. A curved plate P is pressed into the recess e of the head A by means of a corresponding punch in such a way that the diameter of the plate increases and can therefore no longer fall out of the head.
The access to the head of the screw Sah is now firmly and safely closed.
When the closure is opened, the platelet P is deformed by means of a spherical stamp by being pressed down to the bottom in such a way that the diameter of the latter is reduced again and can easily fall out. Access to the head of the coupling screw is now free again.
A blast capsule is attached to the inner surface of the platelet, which causes a detonation when pushed in and thus draws the personnel's attention to an attempted break-in.
The locking device can be effectively sealed by means of two or more holes L, FIG. 3, made on the edge of the head.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Securing for screw bolt locks, especially for freight cars, characterized in that the cover plate (P) for the insertion opening for the key when opening the lock by pressing it into the cavity of the lock head (K) by means of a spherical stamp is reduced in diameter in such a way that it can be removed again.
