Process for the production of rubber mixtures with inorganic and organic vulcanization agents.

Ka: 1chuk mixtures, which are mixed with inorganic or organic vulcanization accelerators, have the property of being partially vulcanized in the machines during processing before the actual vulcanization, a fact that is of great disadvantage for the manufacturing process, as these mixtures are for most of them Goods are not usable. On the other hand, so-called emollients have to be added to these mixtures in order to reduce this unpleasant effect of the vulcanization accelerators.

Especially with the recently discovered ultra-accelerators, which are already active at low temperatures, their use is very inhibited, as they already for the most part vulcanize on the mixing mills, preheating mills, tube machines, etc., the surface of the mixtures then becomes rough and knotty, which makes them Usability for many cases becomes impossible.

The present method now has the advantage of being able to use all vulcanization accelerators, even the ultra-accelerators, without these disadvantageous side effects, i. H. premature vulcanization occurs. According to the invention, two mixtures are produced for this purpose: one contains rubber and sulfur, the other rubber and the accelerator. This makes it possible to completely complete each partial mixture without running the risk of premature vulcanization. The fillers are distributed in such a way that the two mixtures are known

Volume, e.g. B. in strip form, fed to a device in which uniform mixing of the two mixtures takes place in a few seconds.

This device can either be a small masticator or agitator or a small hose machine, or the mixtures can also be fed directly to the calender, where they are then drawn directly onto plates. The resulting final mixture is then completely homogeneous and can be further processed, and even the strongest accelerators are suitable for this type of preparation of the mixture.
