The piston roller a is provided in the usual manner with radial slots b, in which the slides or piston vanes c are slidably arranged, which divide the sickle-shaped working space into cells e.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the piston roller a is surrounded by a ring d serving as an auxiliary rotor, which has the shape of a hollow cylinder, extends over the entire inner length of the housing t and forms a narrow sickle-shaped working space with it. The ring d, like the piston roller a, is provided with radial slots g in which small piston wings h are slidably arranged, which divide the second crescent-shaped working space into cells i. The ring d is guided between the inner surface of the housing 1 and the piston roller a and is carried along by the vanes c which are thrown outward by the centrifugal force.
The inlet and outlet openings (not shown) for the main working space e are provided in the end walls of the housing f, the inlet and outlet openings for the additional working space i either likewise in the end walls or in the cylindrical surface of the housing t. The ring d thus forms a second, outer capsule mechanism, the effect of which is added to that of the inner one. The inlet and outlet channels of the additional capsule system are dimensioned in such a way that the counterpressure that is required on the inner surface of the ring d and that acts on the outer surface is created in the individual cells i. These channels can be connected in any way with the inlet and outlet channels of the main engine, so that the performance of both capsule works complement one another.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 there are two instead of a single auxiliary rotor d

extend and in the bore m (Fig. 4) of the inner working space eccentrically lying bores Mi, of the housing are arranged. In this embodiment, all of the inlet and outlet openings for the agent to be conveyed can be arranged in the cylindrical surface of the housing. Otherwise, the design of the auxiliary rotors is the same as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
In both embodiments, the ring d or the rings cl and d2 absorb the centrifugal force of the blades c of the main engine, the small blades h provide a good seal and, since they are always in motion, cannot get stuck in their guides g. The pressure equalization is achieved without creating harmful spaces, which is particularly important in the case of capsule works serving as vacuum pumps. The outer working space i can never be completely filled with lubricating oil because this can flow off into the outlet line; this achieves full operational safety.
The working spaces e and i can also be connected to one another in such a way that the two capsule works are connected in series; In this way, in some cases, a single machine can suffice where previously two capsule plants connected in series were necessary. Finally, more than two capsule mechanisms can also be combined with one another in the same way, in that the ring d is surrounded by a second ring which, together with the housing 1, forms a third sickle-shaped working space.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Capsule mechanism with piston roller eccentrically mounted in the housing and radially displaceable piston wings in this, which support themselves under the effect of centrifugal force against a ring and thereby take it along, characterized in that the sickle-shaped space (i) between the rotating ring (d ) and the stationary housing (f) forms a work space that is completely independent of the cells (e) of the work space inside the ring and is provided with special inlets and outlets, which is divided into work cells (i) by piston blades (h) that can be moved radially in the ring and can be connected in parallel or in series to the working space within the ring.
