Abstract
La presente invención está relacionada con el área de la biotecnología. Más precisamente, una construcción genética y un método para producir un evento vegetal transgénico, especialmente un evento de la caña de azúcar (Saccharum spp.), Que es resistente a la infestación por la plaga Diatraea saccharalis, conocida popularmente como barrenador común, barrenador de la caña o simplemente sembradora. La invención describe el evento, los métodos para identificar el evento, así como los métodos de detección de inserciones basados en las regiones de intersección entre el inserto y el genoma del hospedador y las regiones flanqueantes que lo caracterizan.
