Aspectos de la presente revelación se refiere a métodos para cultivar plantas genéticamente alteradas con actividad aumentada de una o más de una proteína de NODULACIÓN DE LA VÍA DE SEÑALIZACIÓN 1 (NSP1) o una proteína de NODULACIÓN DE LA VÍA DE SEÑALIZACIÓN 2 (NSP2) que tienen micorrización incrementada y/o respuestas simbióticas promovidas bajo condiciones de fosfato alto y/o nitrato alto. Aspectos adicionales de la presente revelación se refieren a métodos para cultivar plantas genéticamente alteradas con actividad aumentada de un PÉPTIDO CODIFICADO C-TERMINAL (péptido CEP) que tiene micorrización incrementada y/o respuestas simbióticas promovidas bajo condiciones de fosfato alto y/o nitrato alto. Además, aspectos de la presente revelación se refiere a métodos para cultivar estas plantas que incluyen aplicación exógena de estrigolactonas, karrikinas, y/o péptidos CEP para aumentar micorrización y/o promover respuestas simbióticas bajo condiciones de nutrientes específicas.
