Abstract
Un método y un sistema brindan la posibilidad de entregar contenido multimedia. Un paquetizador recibe el flujo de transporte original cifrado y segmenta el flujo en múltiples archivos de flujo de transporte con duración fija (fragmentos). El paquetizador además genera un archivo de manifiesto que describe los fragmentos y que es coherente con un protocolo de transmisión en vivo (HLS) basado en el protocolo de transferencia de hipertexto (HTTP). El archivo de manifiesto y los fragmentos se entregan a una red de distribución de contenido (CDN). Un cliente HLS optimizado se incorpora en un decodificador receptor integrado (IRD). El cliente HLS optimizado recupera el archivo de manifiesto y los fragmentos de la CDN y reconstruye el flujo de transporte original cifrado para que lo use una red de provisión de servicios.
