Abstract

Un medio de filtro para la implementación en un proceso de purificación de azúcar que permite un aumento significativo en el material absorbente, mientras mantiene y mejora la decoloración y las propiedades hidráulicas. El medio de filtro incorpora material absorbente, fibra que tiene propiedades específicas que permiten material absorbente de partículas pequeñas sin poner en peligro las propiedades hidráulicas del medio, y un electrolito. El material absorbente es un medio inorgánico, de adsorción o de intercambio iónico, o una estructura de metal-orgánico. La implementación de este medio de filtro en un proceso de purificación de azúcar elimina la necesidad de un paso de clarificación durante la refinación, al mismo tiempo que proporciona mejorada decoloración y propiedades hidráulicas para el caudal fluido.
