Abstract

The present one consists of two retractable articulated feet placed on the side of the truck (6). Said foot is part of the Lower Mast, which is hollow and functions as a female so that an Upper Mast (1) of equal length and removable forms the support of the cables. The articulated foot with its lower mast made up of a single piece and the upper mast that fits into the lower one, are threaded by a safety (2) that holds both pieces when assembled. While the retractable articulated feet are fixed to the truck and do not affect the aesthetics or functionality of the truck, the upper mast is assembled manually and, upright at 90º, remains in working position. With the masts ready and prior to being erected, a first steel cable of the appropriate size is placed at such a distance and with a carabiner at each end that is secured in the internal ears of each of the upper telescopic struts of the mast (4) and a standard retractable lifeline (12) is placed by means of its carabiner on the placed steel cable. Then it is tied, with a second steel cable and the appropriate measure with two musketeers at its ends, from the outer ear of the telescopic prop to the side of the truck to an eyebolt or shackle (9), and can also, prior to connecting to the shackle, fit a standard shock absorber (8) that will make a softer fall in the event of an eventual accident. Like the feet and the shackles, the truck or trailer can have a suitable steel base to place an electric winch (10) which the cable extension of the same is hooked to the external ear of the other mast by means of a steel cable (11), the winch receives the 12 volt socket from the vehicle and when it is actuated it begins to pick up the cable until it is tensioned and, in this way, when it is tensioned, it begins to raise the front mast and because it is connected to the cable to the rear mast, the entire assembly is raised until the cables are taut. With the cable taut, take the tensioner (7), place it on the front eyebolt (9) and shorten it until the cable is tight. With the equipment taut, the operator connects his harness to the retractable and begins the operation at height, which allows the operator to move along the equipment, between masts.
