Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Una composición repelente de insectos que comprende: un piretroide activo al vapor; un material inflamable a granel; y un aglutinante; en donde el piretroide activo al vapor se selecciona de uno o más del grupo seleccionado de metoflutrina, transflutrina, dimeflutrina, meperflutrina, renoflutrina y heptaflutrina, y el piretroide activo al vapor está presente en una cantidad de modo de proporcionar una tasa de liberación, tal que: cuando el piretroide es metoflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,05 a 0,30 mg por minuto; cuando el piretroide es transflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,15 a 0,45 mg por minuto; cuando el piretroide es dimeflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,05 a 0,50 mg por minuto; cuando el piretroide es meperflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,04 a 0,40 mg por minuto; cuando el piretroide es renoflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,05 a 0,50 mg por minuto; y cuando el piretroide es heptaflutrina, la tasa de liberación es de 0,05 a 0,50 mg por minuto. Reivindicación 10: La composición de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, en donde el material inflamable a granel es una forma en polvo de una sustancia seleccionada de uno o más del grupo que consiste en madera, aserrín, papel, cartón, cáscara de coco, harina elaborada de hojas u otras cáscaras de nuez, yute, bagazo de caña de azúcar, cáscaras de arroz, desechos de té, desechos de café, carbón y orujo de piretro. Reivindicación 13: La composición de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, en donde el aglutinante se selecciona de uno o más materiales seleccionados de polvo Joss, a-almidón, polvo Makko, polvo tabu, carboximetil celulosa, goma guar, almidón de tapioca, almidón de tamarindo y polvo de grano de tamarindo. Reivindicación 23: Un método de preparación de una composición repelente de insectos de acuerdo con lo definido en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones precedentes, que comprende las siguientes etapas: a) proporcionar un piretroide activo al vapor; b) proporcionar un material inflamable a granel; c) proporcionar un aglutinante; d) opcionalmente, proporcionar un conservante; e) opcionalmente, proporcionar por lo menos un aditivo seleccionado del grupo que consiste en agentes emulsionantes, aceleradores o proveedores de oxígeno para el combustible, retardadores, agentes colorantes y perfumes; y f) mezclar el piretroide activo al vapor, el material inflamable a granel y el aglutinante y, opcionalmente, el conservante y/o el por lo menos un aditivo, con la adición de agua. Reivindicación 25: Un artículo que comprende una composición repelente de insectos de acuerdo con lo definido en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 22.Claim 1: An insect repellent composition comprising: a steam active pyrethroid; a flammable material in bulk; and a binder; wherein the steam active pyrethroid is selected from one or more of the group selected from metofluthrin, transfluthrin, dimefluthrin, meperfluthrin, renofluthrin, and heptafluthrin, and the steam active pyrethroid is present in an amount so as to provide a release rate, such that: when the pyrethroid is metofluthrin, the release rate is 0.05 to 0.30 mg per minute; when the pyrethroid is transfluthrin, the release rate is 0.15 to 0.45 mg per minute; when the pyrethroid is dimefluthrin, the release rate is 0.05 to 0.50 mg per minute; when the pyrethroid is meperfluthrin, the release rate is 0.04 to 0.40 mg per minute; when the pyrethroid is renofluthrin, the release rate is 0.05 to 0.50 mg per minute; and when the pyrethroid is heptafluthrin, the release rate is 0.05 to 0.50 mg per minute. Claim 10: The composition according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the flammable bulk material is a powdered form of a substance selected from one or more of the group consisting of wood, sawdust, paper, cardboard, coconut shell , flour made from leaves or other nut shells, jute, sugarcane bagasse, rice shells, tea waste, coffee waste, charcoal and pyrethrum pomace. Claim 13: The composition according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the binder is selected from one or more materials selected from Joss powder, α-starch, Makko powder, tabu powder, carboxymethyl cellulose, guar gum, tapioca starch, tamarind starch and tamarind grain powder. Claim 23: A method of preparing an insect repellent composition as defined in any of the preceding claims, comprising the following steps: a) providing a steam-active pyrethroid; b) providing a flammable material in bulk; c) providing a binder; d) optionally providing a preservative; e) optionally, providing at least one additive selected from the group consisting of emulsifying agents, accelerators or oxygen suppliers for fuel, retarders, coloring agents and perfumes; and f) mixing the vapor-active pyrethroid, the flammable bulk material and the binder and, optionally, the preservative and / or the at least one additive, with the addition of water. Claim 25: An article comprising an insect repellent composition as defined in any one of claims 1 to 22.
