Abstract

Se divulgan moléculas de ARN bicatenario (ARNbc) que son tóxicas para plagas de insectos. En particular, se proporcionan moléculas de ARN interferente capaces de modular la expresión de un gen diana del insecto que constituye una plaga y que son tóxicas para la plaga de insectos. Además, se divulgan métodos para preparar y emplear el ARN interferente, por ejemplo, como el principio activo en una composición insecticida o en una planta transgénica, con el fin de conferir protección contra el daño provocado por insectos.
