Abstract
Un aparato de rotación se puede utilizar con un tambor de control en un entorno nuclear. El tambor de control está situado en un árbol que puede girar alrededor de un eje horizontal de rotación, y el tambor de control incluye una porción absorbente y una porción reflectora. El aparato de rotación incluye un mecanismo de rotación que está estructurado para aplicar al árbol en una posición de funcionamiento una fuerza que empuja el árbol para girar hacia una posición de parada, la fuerza es resistida por un motor para retener el árbol en la posición de funcionamiento cuando el motor está energizado.
