Abstract

Método para determinar el nivel de un compuesto policíclico de interés presente en la superficie de una hoja de tabaco, que comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) lavar la superficie de la hoja de tabaco con un solvente, donde el solvente comprende al menos un solvente no polar, de manera tal que no más de aproximadamente 10% en peso del compuesto policíclico de interés presente en la superficie de la hoja de tabaco se retire de la superficie de la hoja de tabaco; (b) recolectar el solvente del paso (a); y (c) someter el solvente recolectado a una espectroscopia de fluorescencia para determinar el nivel del compuesto policíclico de interés.
