Abstract
Reivindicación 1: Un método para detectar, clasificar y cuantificar en tiempo real la actividad alimenticia de animales rumiantes que comprende las siguientes etapas: a) detectar y clasificar los eventos alimentarios individuales (masticación, masticación-mordida, mordida) a través de la medición, procesamiento y análisis de los sonidos producidos por el animal y la posición de su cabeza; b) detectar y clasificar la actividad alimenticia realizada por el animal a partir del análisis de la secuencia temporal de eventos alimentarios individuales detectados en el punto anterior; c) cuantificar el comportamiento ingestivo del animal a partir de la estimación de los parámetros característicos de la actividad alimenticia obtenidos a partir de la señal sonora. Reivindicación 10: Un dispositivo para detectar, clasificar y cuantificar en tiempo real la actividad alimenticia de animales rumiantes, que comprende: a) al menos un sensor de sonido o vibraciones ubicado en la cabeza del animal para detectar los datos indicativos de la actividad alimenticia realizada por el animal; b) al menos una unidad de medición inercial (IMU) para medir el movimiento de la cabeza del animal durante las actividades alimentarias; c) al menos un inclinómetro para medir la posición de la cabeza del animal durante las actividades alimentarias; d) al menos un sistema embebido (basado en microprocesadores, FPGA o ASIC) para procesar las señales adquiridas, integrar las señales de la IMU para corregir errores y mejorar la precisión de los datos resultantes del movimiento; e) al menos un sistema embebido (basado en microprocesadores, FPGA ca ASIC) para procesar las señales adquiridas, filtrar y extraer de las señales sonoras la información relevante sobre la actividad alimenticia, integrar la señales sonoras y la información de la posición de la cabeza para detectar la actividad alimenticia e identificar y cuantificar el comportamiento ingestivo a partir de análisis de los parámetros indicativos de los sonidos y la posición de la cabeza.Claim 1: A method for detecting, classifying and quantifying in real time the feeding activity of ruminant animals comprising the following stages: a) detecting and classifying individual food events (chewing, chewing-biting, biting) through measurement, processing and analysis of the sounds produced by the animal and the position of its head; b) detect and classify the food activity performed by the animal from the analysis of the temporal sequence of individual food events detected in the previous point; c) quantify the ingestive behavior of the animal from the estimation of the characteristic parameters of the feeding activity obtained from the sound signal. Claim 10: A device for detecting, classifying and quantifying in real time the feeding activity of ruminant animals, comprising: a) at least one sound or vibration sensor located on the animal's head to detect data indicative of the food activity performed for the animal; b) at least one inertial measurement unit (IMU) to measure the movement of the animal's head during feeding activities; c) at least one inclinometer to measure the position of the animal's head during feeding activities; d) at least one embedded system (based on microprocessors, FPGA or ASIC) to process the acquired signals, integrate the IMU signals to correct errors and improve the accuracy of the data resulting from the movement; e) at least one embedded system (based on microprocessors, FPGA ca ASIC) to process the acquired signals, filter and extract from the sound signals the relevant food activity information, integrate the sound signals and the head position information to detect food activity and identify and quantify ingestive behavior from analysis of the parameters indicative of the sounds and the position of the head.
