Abstract

Una composición térmicamente aislante que comprende: (A) un líquido acuoso, donde el líquido acuoso es la fase continua de la composición; (B) un particulado, donde el particulado es sílice, y donde el particulado es una fase dispersa de la composición; y (C) un activador, donde el activador hace que por lo menos parte del particulado forme agregados y una red integrada por lo menos por el particulado, donde la formación de la red hace que la composición aislante se transforme en un gel, y donde la composición aislante gelatinizada inhibe o impide la pérdida térmica desde dos áreas con temperaturas diferentes.
