Claim 4: A cell according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cell comprises one or more nucleic acid sequences encoding a transporter of heterologous glycerol represented by SEQ ID No. 29 or a functional counterpart of SEQ ID No. 29 that has a sequence identity of at least 50% with SEQ ID No. 29.
