Abstract

En una planta que comprende un primer aparato para la producción electroquímica o electrotérmica de hidrógeno, que produce una primera corriente de hidrógeno; un segundo aparato para la producción de hidrógeno a partir de un hidrocarburo por reformación de vapor, oxidación parcial o deshidrogenación, que produce una segunda corriente de hidrógeno; un conducto de hidrógeno o un consumidor de hidrógeno al cual se alimentan ambas, la primera corriente de hidrógeno y la segunda corriente de hidrógeno; y un dispositivo de control que adapta la producción de hidrógeno en el primer aparato y en el segundo aparato de tal modo que la cantidad total de la primera corriente de hidrógeno y la segunda corriente de hidrógeno corresponde a un valor predeterminado, la energía eléctrica excedente puede ser utilizada eficientemente operando el aparato para la producción electroquímica o electrotérmica de hidrógeno con energía eléctrica excedente.
