Abstract

Una composición de recubrimiento para aplicaciones a temperaturas por encima de los 1200ºC que comprende, (a) entre 80,0 y 99,9% en peso de circonia desestabilizada, y (b) entre 0,1 y 5,0% en peso de un formador de fase líquida que es sólido a la temperatura ambiente y se funde o bien reacciona, o se descompone para formar una fase líquida a una temperatura no menor a los 1000ºC; donde los porcentajes en peso se expresan en términos del peso total de sólidos en la composición de recubrimiento a la temperatura ambiente. También, un elemento refractario, preferiblemente hecho de un material refractario aglutinado con carbono, que comprende una superficie recubierta que comprende un primer recubrimiento (1) de la composición que se definió anteriormente.
