Abstract
Un método para transportar y separar simultáneamente niveles de cantidad de trazas de metales pesados de fluidos producidos tales como petróleo crudo, con la inyección de un agente de fijación en la tubería usada para el transporte del fluido producido. Se inyecta una cantidad suficiente de agente de inyección en la cañería que contiene el fluido producido y el fluido de dilución. El agente de fijación reacciona con los metales pesados formando un precipitado o complejos solubles en la dilución. El fluido de dilución que contiene los complejos de metal pesado se separa del fluido producido, generando un fluido producido tratado que tiene una concentración reducida de metales pesados. En una forma de realización, el fluido de dilución es agua, y el agua residual que contiene los complejos de metal pesado después de la recuperación puede ser reciclada mediante inyección en un depósito.
