Abstract
Técnicas para tratar sólidos de gran tamaño que se obtienen de una suspensión o una pasta en un proceso de producción de dextrina que se puede utilizar en un proceso de producción de alcohol. Se describe un proceso para separar una corriente de partículas de gran tamaño de una corriente de líquido que contiene partículas pequeñas de una corriente de proceso usando un primer dispositivo de separación mecánica. El proceso también incluye agregar agua a la corriente de partículas de gran tamaño para crear una corriente con menor contenido de sólidos en un tanque de cocción. En una forma de realización, en el proceso se pueden moler las partículas de gran tamaño de la corriente de partículas de gran tamaño. En otra forma de realización, en el proceso se pueden ajustar las condiciones (temperatura, pH, agregado de coadyuvantes de proceso) de la corriente con menor contenido de sólidos que está en el tanque de cocción e incubarla durante un período de tiempo predeterminado. El proceso también incluye separar componentes de la corriente con menor contenido de sólidos usando un segundo dispositivo de separación mecánica.
