Abstract

Claim 1: A rodenticide bait block comprising a rodent feed comprising an edible seed and / or cereal, at least one rodenticide, and a polymeric binder characterized in that the polymeric binder comprises a polymer based on an acrylic ester and acrylonitrile and it is present in an amount of 1 to 18% by weight, preferably 1 to 10%, and more preferably 1 to 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the bait block. Claim 2: A bait block according to claim 1, characterized in that the polymeric binder consists essentially of a polymer based on an acrylic ester and acrylonitrile, preferably a polymer based on an acrylic ester, acrylonitrile and (meth) acrylic acid. Claim 8: A bait block according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the rodenticide is an anticoagulant rodenticide. Claim 9: A bait block according to claim 8, characterized in that the rodenticide is difenacoum. Claim 10: A bait block according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the rodenticide is a non-anticoagulant rodenticide. Claim 11: A bait block according to claim 10, characterized in that the rodenticide is vitamin D. Claim 12: A method of preparing the rodenticide bait block of any of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that it comprises the mixing steps the food comprising edible seeds and / or cereals with the rodenticide and with an aqueous dispersion of the polymeric binder, mold or shape the mixture to form a block and then dry the block.
