Abstract
Un aparato basado en un procesador para computar vectores de torrente para un área de interés divides el área de interés en una cantidad de áreas del código de unidades hidrológicas (HUC). El procesador calcula vectores de torrente de datos de un mapa de resolución digital inferior (DEM). Aquellas áreas de HUC donde los datos de DEM de mayor resolución se encuentran disponibles, el procesador fusiona los datos de DEM de mayor resolución y de menor resolución. Los vectores de torrente se calculan a partir de los datos de DEM fusionados y se usan para reemplazar aquellos vectores de torrente calculados a partir de los datos de DEM de resolución inferior. Los atributos de vectores de torrente que reciben el flujo ascendente de un área de HUC adyacente se corrigen.
