Abstract

Un protector para proteger la rosca de un caño que tiene un extremo con rosca P₁ tiene un eje central, un primer extremo, segundo extremo opuesto al primer extremo; y comprende una base en el primer extremo. Además, el protector comprende un miembro conector anular que se extiende en sentido axial desde la base hacia el segundo extremo. El miembro conector tiene una superficie interna en sentido radial y una superficie radialmente externa. El miembro conector incluye, además, una rosca con forma de hélice que se extiende radialmente hacia afuera desde la superficie radialmente interna o radialmente hacia adentro de la superficie radialmente externa. La rosca con forma de hélice tiene un extremo de rosca P₂ que es mayor que el extremo de rosca P₁ de la rosca del caño.
