Abstract
A mixture to promote wound healing comprising a physiologically acceptable salt of hyaluronic acid and which further comprises an antimicrobial substance selected from the group comprising octenidine dihydrochloride, cetrimide, benzalkonium chloride, benzalkonium bromide, chlorhexidine, chlorhexidine bigluconate, polyhexamethylene biguanide , carbetopendecinium bromide, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and a mixture thereof in any proportion. A dressing is also disclosed to promote wound healing with antimicrobial effect, which comprises a contact layer (K), which contains on the side that a coating (P) formed by the aforementioned mixture will be in contact with the wound. Claim 2: The mixture according to claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises one or more polysaccharides selected from the group comprising native or modified polysaccharides of hyalurone, xanthan, schizophilane, chitosan, glucan, alginate, cellulose, b-1-3- glucan and a mixture thereof. Claim 3: The mixture according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said antimicrobial substance is octenidine dihydrochloride. Claim 4: The mixture according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises a physiologically acceptable salt of hyaluronic acid and octenidine dihydrochloride at a mass ratio of 500: 1. Claim 6: The mixture according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises an adjuvant that increases the antimicrobial effect, for example a chelating agent such as EDTA, betaine and 2-phenoxyethanol. Claim 12: The dressing according to claim 11, characterized in that it is in the form of a multi-layer formation and further comprises one or more absorption layers (A) and a surface layer (R), wherein all layers are arranged in the following order in the direction from the wound: a contact layer (K), which contains on the side that will be in contact with the wound or on both sides, a coating (P) consisting of the mixture of any of claims 1 to 10; one or more absorption layers (A) and a surface layer (R). Claim 13: The dressing according to any of claims 11 or 12, characterized in that the contact layer is preferably of a knitted or woven fabric of polyamide monofilaments (PAD), optionally of cut fibers; of nonwoven fabric or a porous membrane, of polyurethane, polyester, viscose, of mixtures of said fibers or of other materials, e.g. ex. of synthetic fibers such as polypropylene. Claim 19: The dressing according to any of claims 12 to 18, characterized in that the surface layer (R) is preferably prepared with a non-woven polyester fabric that can optionally be antimicrobial by impregnation treatment with a suitable antimicrobial substance or through the content of antimicrobial fibers, obtained for example from bamboo, or through the content of silver microparticles.
