Abstract
Se describe aquí un sistema de administración de memoria que recibe información de aplicaciones que describe cómo se está utilizando la memoria y permite que un host de aplicación ejerza mayor control sobre las solicitudes de la aplicación para utilizar la memoria. El sistema proporciona una interfaz de programación de aplicaciones (API) de la administración de memoria de la aplicación que permite que la aplicación especifique más información sobre asignaciones de memoria que es útil para administrar memoria más tarde. El sistema proporciona también una capacidad para analizar de manera estática y/o dinámica aplicaciones heredadas para dar aplicaciones que no están modificadas para trabajar con el sistema alguna capacidad para participar en una administración de memoria más efectiva. El sistema proporciona al host de aplicación cambios para aprovechar la información proporcionada por las aplicaciones y para administrar más efectivamente la memoria utilizando la información y se enlaza en uso de memoria de la aplicación. Por lo tanto, el sistema proporciona un nuevo modelo para administrar memoria que mejora el comportamiento del host de aplicación y permite que las aplicaciones utilicen recursos de computación de una manera más eficiente.
