Abstract

Se presenta un método para aumentar la complejidad de fractura en una zona de tratamiento de una formación subterránea. La formación subterránea se caracteriza por tener una permeabilidad de la matriz inferior a 1,0 microDarcy. El método incluye el paso de bombear uno o más fluidos de fractura a una región de campo lejano de una zona de tratamiento de la formación subterránea a una velocidad y presión superiores a la presión de fractura de la zona de tratamiento. Un primer fluido de fractura de dichos uno o más fluidos de fractura incluye un primer material sólido en partículas, donde: (a) el primer material sólido en partículas incluye una distribución de tamaños de partícula para cubrir las gargantas porosas de un empaque de apuntalante ya formado o por formarse in la zona de tratamiento; y (b) el primer material sólido en partículas comprende un material degradable. En una forma de realización, el primer material sólido en partículas está en una cantidad insuficiente en el primer fluido de fracturamiento para aumentar la fracción de volumen de empaque de cualquier región del empaque de apuntalante a más de 73%.
