Abstract
Un método para la formación de juntas de montura entre secciones de tubería recubiertas o aisladas que se van a soldar juntas y a incorporar en una tubería submarina para el transporte de fluidos de una sola fase o de múltiples fases, tal como, petróleo, gas y agua. El método incluye la aplicación de una capa de epoxi líquido que se superpone sobre un reborde del recubrimiento de FBE aplicado en la fábrica que sobresale más allá de un terminal biselado de la capa de aislamiento aplicada en la fábrica, y que se puede aplicar sobre toda el área de la unión por soldadura. La capa de epoxi líquido es curada de forma parcial por medio de la aplicación de calor, y una capa de adhesivo en polvo se aplica sobre la capa de epoxi líquido parcialmente curada. El adhesivo es posteriormente sinterizado y activado mediante la aplicación de calor a su superficie exterior. Las superficies exteriores de la capa de adhesivo y los biseles son luego precalentados y el aislamiento térmico de la junta es moldeado por inyección sobre toda el área de la junta. A lo largo de todo el método, la temperatura del recubrimiento de FBE aplicado en la fábrica es mantenida por debajo de la temperatura de transición vítrea a fin de evitar el debilitamiento de la adhesión entre el recubrimiento de FBE y el tubo de acero subyacente. El número y secuencia de las etapas puede variar, dependiendo por lo menos parcialmente de si las capas de epoxi líquido y de adhesivo son aplicadas en una instalación de recubrimiento de tubería o en el campo.
