Abstract
Un uso conjunto más eficiente del mapeo de rango dinámico, por un lado, y la predicción temporal, por otro lado tal como, por ejemplo, para codificar secuencias de cuadro de HDR, se puede lograr aprovechando el concepto de predicción ponderada con el fin de cambiar el parámetro del mapeo desde el cuadro de referencia hacia el cuadro previsto actualmente temporal. Con esta medida, la predicción temporal no falla y a pesar de la variación por cuadros en el mapeo de rango dinámico, la eficiencia de la codificación, por lo tanto, se mantiene. Como un aspecto secundario favorable, la predicción ponderada temporal ya está dentro de las capacidades de las etapas de codificación de video existentes tales como, por ejemplo, el H.264/AVC.
