Abstract

Método para determinar la cantidad de metano producida por un rumiante productor de carne, tal como un bovino, es decir un animal criado y luego sacrificado para la comercialización de su carne, caracterizado porque consiste en determinar la cantidad de por lo menos un ácido graso (AG) contenido en un tejido de referencia, es decir, músculo o tejido adiposo, tomado como muestra de dicho rumiante después de muerto (en gramos de ácidos grasos por kilogramo de tejido).Reivindicación 2: El método de determinación de la reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque dicha cantidad se calcula de acuerdo con la ecuación: CH4 (g/kg de carne del animal) = [[[(Edad en meses) * Coef. 1] + Coef. 2] * 1000 * Contenido de lípidos (en %) * de contenido de AG (en % de lípidos totales)] * 1000 / Peso del animal (en kg de carne) una ecuación en la cual: los coeficientes Coef. 1 y Coef. 2 son números cuyo valor es una función de la naturaleza del tejido de referencia y la categoría del animal.
