Abstract

Una jeringa y tapa con filtro facilitan la administracion de un medicamento particulado a los pacientes. La tapa se ajusta firmemente sobre la boquilla de la jeringa y tiene al menos un orificio. El orificio está configurado para retener partículas del medicamento dentro de la jeringa mediante la tapa. Un kit combina la medicacion, la jeringa y su émbolo, la tapa y una taza de soporte para líquidos. El método para administrar el medicamento comprende: (a) retirar el émbolo de la jeringa, (b) colocar la tapa sobre la boquilla, (c) insertar el medicamento particulado dentro de la jeringa, (d) reinsertar el émbolo dentro de la jeringa, (e) aspirar la cantidad deseada de líquido dentro de la jeringa a través de la tapa, suspendiendo así el medicamento particulado en el líquido aspirado dentro de la jeringa, (f) retirar la tapa de la jeringa, y (g) administrar la dosis del medicamento al paciente.
