Abstract

Se describe una píldora fluida de transmision de presion (FPTP) que presenta una altísima viscosidad para usar en conexion con operaciones de perforacion y exploracion de hidrocarburos, especialmente en operaciones de perforacion con presion controlada (MPD). La píldora de altísima viscosidad es una composicion de píldora ponderada que incluye un fluido hidrocarburo, un agente viscosificante tixotropico, uno o más activadores, un emulsionante/agente humectante, un aditivo de control de pérdidas de fluido y un material de ponderacion. De acuerdo con aspectos especiales de la píldora descripta, la relacion de la cantidad de agente viscosificante tixotropico a activador es una relacion de aproximadamente 7:1 y el material de ponderacion es un material en fase solida con contenido de bario. También se describen métodos para usar dichos productos FPTP en operaciones subterráneas tales como operaciones de matanza de pozos durante la perforacion con presion controlada.
