Abstract
La presente solicitud se refiere a la identificacion y caracterizacion inicial de CctA, una toxina de Clostridium chauvoei secretada que representa actividad citotoxica de C. chauvoei. Esta toxina confiere a C. chauvoei su actividad hemolítica característica contra eritrocitos de varias especies, dado que los anticuerpos antí-CctA neutralizan por completo la hemolisis causada por C. chauvoei en un medio de agar-sangre estándar o en sobrenadantes libres de células de cultivos líquidos. Reivindicacion 1: Un polipéptido, caracterizado porque se une a anticuerpos de conejo policlonales desarrollados contra una proteína de acuerdo con la SEQ ID NO 1.
