Abstract

Reivindicación 1: Un material de sílice precipitada caracterizado porque tiene un tamano de partícula promedio de 1 a 5 micrones y que tiene un aducto presente en al menos una porción de su superficie para formar un material de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto, donde el material de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto exhibe una reducción del potencial zeta mayor que el 10% en comparación con un material de sílice precipitada de la misma estructura en el cual no hay un aducto presente. Reivindicación 2: El material de sílice precipitada de la reivindicación 1 caracterizado porque el aducto es un elemento metálico. Reivindicación 3: El material de sílice precipitada de la reivindicación 2 caracterizado porque el elemento metálico está seleccionado de los metales de transición o los metales de postransición. Reivindicación 4: El material de sílice precipitada de la reivindicación 3 caracterizado porque el elemento metálico está seleccionado del grupo que está formado por aluminio, zinc, estano, estroncio, hierro, cobre y mezclas de los mismos. Reivindicación 8: Un dentífrico caracterizado porque comprende el material de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto según se define en la reivindicación 1 y al menos otro componente seleccionado del grupo que está formado por al menos un abrasivo distinto del material de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto, al menos un agente espesante distinto del material de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto, al menos un solvente, al menos un conservante y al menos un surfactante, donde el materia de sílice precipitada tratado con aducto está presente como agente abrasivo, como agente espesante o ambos, dentro del dentífrico.
