Abstract
Una instalacion para transmitir energ¡a electrica por medio de HVDC comprende dos estaciones convertidoras (101, 102) interconectadas mediante una red de corriente continua bipolar (103), estando cada una de ellas conectada a una red de voltaje alterno (104, 105). Cada estacion convertidora tiene un Convertidor de Fuente de Voltaje con celdas de conmutacion, cada uno de los cuales incluye por lo menos un condensador de almacenamiento de energ¡a. Los Convertidores de Fuentes de voltaje est n configurados para utilizar un voltaje continuo que para uno primero de los polos tiene una magnitud con respecto a tierra que es superior a la magnitud para uno segundo de los polos.
