Abstract

Se presenta un proceso para obtener betahidroxialdehídos como ser el 3-hidroxipropanal el cual incluye el contacto íntimo de (a) un oxirano, (b) un monoxido de carbono, (c) un agente reductor como ser el hidrogeno, (d) de aproximadamente 0,01 a 1% p, en base al metal de cobalto, de un catalizador de hidroformilacion de cobalto que opcionalmente forma un complejo con el ligando de fosfina terciaria, y (e) un promotor metálico heterogéneo, preferiblemente, un solido, utilizado a un coeficiente molar de 0,05 hasta 100 moles de metal heterogéneo relativo a los moles del catalizador de hidroformilacion de cobalto soluble.
