Abstract
Mejoras.de rasgos agrobiologicos en plantas. Más específicamente, una célula de planta que comprende en sus cloroplastos actividades enzimáticas para convertir glicolato en malato. De preferencia, dicha célula de planta comprende un primer polipéptido que presenta la actividad de glicolato oxidasa, un segundo polipéptido que presenta la actividad de malato sintasa y un tercer polipéptido que presenta la actividad de catalasa o un primer polipéptido que presenta la actividad de glicolato deshidrogenasa y un segundo polipéptido que presenta la actividad de malato sintasa. También está incluida una planta que comprende dicha célula de plantas así como también semillas que pueden obtenerse de dichas plantas. Además, un método para producir una planta transgénica o una célula de planta que presenta una mayor eficiencia de uso de agua o un mayor rendimiento. También contempla polinucleotidos que comprenden una combinacion de ácidos nucleicos que codifican los antes mencionados polipéptidos así como también vectores que comprenden los polinucleotidos y usos de los mismos.
