Abstract
Se describen un método y aparato para realizar el traspaso entre una red con base en el 3GPP y una red que no es de 3GPP, donde se solicita a una nueva compuerta una actualizacion de política. Se envía una confirmacion de actualizacion de política, desde la funcion de reglas y política de cobro (PCRF), hacia la compuerta de red de datos en paquetes de 3GPP (la GW de PDN). La nueva compuerta también confirma la actualizacion de política a la compuerta actualmente en servicio, Los puntos finales del tunel y los recursos de radio se liberan entre la GW de PDN y la compuerta evolucionada de datos en paquetes (ePDG) y, en consecuencia, se ponen en libertad los recursos previamente utilizados por la unidad de recepcion/transmision inalámbrica (WTRU). Se envía una confirmacion de liberacion desde la compuerta en servicio a la PCRF, que confirma que el proceso de actualizacion de política está completo. El método puede utilizarse para realizar traspasos entre redes de 3GPP y redes que no son de 3GPP y viceversa. El método y aparato pueden implementarse en las interfaces S2b o S2c.
