Abstract

Se describe un método y un aparato para implementar un procedimiento de enlace en sistemas multimodo. Un sistema de comunicacion inalámbrica incluye al menos un sistema de segunda generacion (2G), un sistema de tercera generacion (3G), una evolucion a largo plazo (LTE) y evolucion de la arquitectura del sistema (SAE) del sistema 3G y un sistema no 3G. Para llevar a cabo un procedimiento de enlace, una unidad inalámbrica de transmision/recepcion (WTRU) envia un mensaje de peticion de conexion a un nuevo nodo de soporte (SGSN) servidor de servicio de radio de paquete general (GPRS) , indicando un tipo de conexion. Luego, el nuevo SGSN y la WTRU llevan a cabo un procedimiento de enlace basado en el lipo de conexion. El tipo de conexion puede indicar un enlace solo de GPRS, un enlace de GPRS y de SAE, o un enlace de 3GPP y de no 3GPP.
